Mental Health Services for Patients

Healthy Minds provides comprehensive and practical psychiatric assessments for patients in long-stay hospitals. These include patients in private hospitals detained under the Mental Health Act of England, Wales and Scotland. Our psychiatrists are trained for all British mainland mental health acts, including Scotland’s Mental Health Act.

We provide services for patients who may be either on the detention of the mental health act in regard to suffering from mental illness or may be detained on the mental health act by the court of law, after an offence or being convicted of criminal charges. We can provide psychiatric assessments complete with needs and risk assessments with practical recommendations.

Some scenarios where our mental health services for patients can be used:

• If you are a student in a college or high school and you often find yourself in trouble, or you are subject to ASBO, or you are going to court for a hearing for an ASBO, do not hesitate to contact us as our psychiatric assessment maybe able to help you to overcome various obstacles in your life.
• If you have been charged or you have been recalled by police, if you are going to an employment tribunal or a hearing in regard to your work and your disputes, or if you have been dismissed from work and it is affecting your quality of life, your asleep, your family life and you feel unable to enjoy life, feel free to contact us - our practical psychiatric assessments we can help you to overcome obstacles and stressors associated with your work hearing, police charges etc.
• If you are a patient that has been placed away from family and your home due to lack of services in local authorities, or lack of a specialist unit for your needs, or behaviour problems - we can help to negotiate access to local community services, and for you to be placed near your home. Our psychiatric assessment or detailed needs assessment provides practical recommendations which may require you to return to an area near to your home and local community.

We also provide detailed developmental assessments for patients. If you have thought for some time that you may be different with others and that difference has been affecting your schooling, your achievements and even your socialisation and ability to secure employment, we can complete a detailed assessment and help you with social services, job centre and social support, to support you and enable to you to function to best of your potential in your community.
